Powerpoint Tutorial: How to embed flash into your presentations
I wouldn't call this a self-made tutorial, more of a... compilation of the tutorials i read up on this, 'cuz i noticed that quite a lot of us don't know how to do this.
1) Export your flash file as an .swf (shockwave flash) file (File > Export, choose .swf file) into the SAME FOLDER YOUR PRESENTATION IS IN.
2) Go back to your powerpoint
3) Under the 'view' menu, go to 'toolbars', and select 'Control Toolbox'
4) A new toolbar should appear, click on the tiny icon of the hammer (more controls).
5) Choose SHOCKWAVE FLASH OBJECT (Importante), your cursor should change to a crosshair.
6) Drag anywhere (don't worry, this size can be adjusted later, not the permanant size), you should see a rectangle with 7 cross inside it.
Right-click the rectange and select properties.
9) Inside properties...
a) Change EmbedMovie to TRUE (click on the false, choose true from the drop-down list)
b) Change Loop to FALSE if you want it to stop after playing through once, or TRUE if you want it to continue repeating
c) Type in your movie name next to Movie (somethin like lol.swf)
10) Resize the rectangle to fit the movie's size.
11) IF YOU DON'T LIKE MOVIE SIZE, REPEAT STEP 10, IF YOU LIKE IT, CONGRATS
P.S: Watch out, theres a note from one of the tutorials
[Note: we've recently discovered that if the flash movie is scripted to stop playing rather than loop or repeat then this command appears to be passed to PowerPoint - this results in the play command being reset to false. The simple solution (if you've got the source flash file) is to remove the offending command, alternatively you'll have to save the presentation with play set to true and not run it again until ready to present - it'll only run once and will need resetting before it'll work again!]
In other words, try not to add any actionscript stuff to your .fla
ENJOY!
Any problems, shoot 'em here.
Any compliments, shoot 'em here too.
Any candy, DON'T SHOOT OVER HERE, I'll go over

Re: Powerpoint Tutorial: How to embed flash into your presentations
Wahahaha~ Is this my first post?
Take note: This doesn't work when you try to submit/send a ppt presentation with flash embedded into it. The receiver will only get the ppt, not the flash, so technically your ppt sent won't contain the flash.
